Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a Technician in Springfield, MO. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of equipment, using Penske tools and diagnostics to keep vehicles safe and road-ready. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Comfort using basic repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills for logging work and parts.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication; assist with electrical and cooling system maintenance.
• Work with manager to learn new skills through Penske training and coaching.
• Take on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
