Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Poplar Bluff, MO is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You’ll work with newer equipment and learn Penske’s maintenance processes, gaining industry-certified training.

You’ll log diagnostics, perform PM tasks, and collaborate with supervisors to develop skills. The role offers competitive pay, shift differentials, and growth opportunities within a global leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use tools and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must comply with Penske safety policies including DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske’s tools and technologies.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Accept additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
