Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a motivated Technician in San Antonio, TX to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe and on the road. You’ll diagnose using Penske tools and gain experience with a variety of OEM equipment while learning through our technician training programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work in a team and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching.
• Work on additional projects and tasks as directed by supervision.
