Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician II to master preventive maintenance and perform advanced adjustments, repairs and component replacements with supervision. You will diagnose vehicle systems and propose accurate repairs while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers.
• Maintain 80% productivity and minimize comebacks.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair brakes (air, hydraulic, electric) and adjust suspensions.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose system failures.
• Troubleshoot electrical, exhaust, steering, A/C, PTOs, and custom exhaust systems.
• Repair fuel systems, fifth wheels, hitches, and frames.
• Perform welding and fabricate driveshafts as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
