Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to support the growing fleet. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and various diagnostics and repairs.

The role requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to work with service writers and techs to meet customer needs. We offer weekly pay, safety gear reimbursement, and opportunities for skill advancement through company training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years’ related experience, or alternative combination as allowed (or 5 years in related field).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Participation in required safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs under supervision of senior technicians.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and document work with RO in Karmak or company system.
• Interact with Service Writer to assess customer needs and provide repair estimates.
• Travel occasionally to customer locations for service as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and OSHA/DOT regulations.
• Maintain assigned service trucks and perform pre/post trip inspections.
