Job summary

Penske in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a Technician II to maintain and repair our fleet. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and diagnose issues on a variety of trucks and trailers, with guidance from experienced techs and mentors.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components; ASE and 608/609 certifications preferred
• Experienced using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• The ability to solve problems and provide good customer service
• The ability to work well as part of a team; basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Performing preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision
• Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems
• Keeping work area clean and safe
• Using Penske tools/tech to log and complete repairs, including diagnostics
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training
• Willing to travel within district as needed
