Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced Technician II in Charlotte, NC to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work independently on major and minor repairs, run road tests, and mentor newer technicians while learning Penske’s maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske Technician Training.
• Take on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
