Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician II in Billings, MT. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across a broad range of equipment, sometimes with minimal supervision, while helping customers keep vehicles on the road.

You’ll diagnose issues, perform road tests, mentor newer techs, and gain exposure to Penske’s advanced maintenance processes and tools. Strong teamwork and safety compliance are required for success in our well-equipped facilities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification; 608/609 certifications (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
• Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
• Keeping your work area clean and safe
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Learning new skills through Penske's technician training
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
