Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Sedalia, MO is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and major/minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and service components while mentoring newer technicians and expanding your skills through ongoing training.

You will work with Penske’s advanced maintenance technology and tools, ensure safety, and contribute to high-quality service for our customers.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experienced using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with little or no supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel system components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned.
