Job summary

Hub Group in Mableton, GA is seeking a Diesel Technician Level 2 for an evening shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm). You will diagnose and repair major truck components, perform PM services, and prepare equipment for delivery.

Must have 2–4 years of tractor-trailer maintenance, high school diploma, CDL A with air brake endorsement, and strong safety focus. Join a leading fleet maintenance team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

2-4 years practical tractor trailer maintenance experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational / technical or certification preferred.
Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills.
Broad understanding of fleet maintenance policies, DOT standards and industry practices.
Organized with the ability to deal with multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
Proficient in the use of shop tools required.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Strong work ethic.
Excellent communication skills- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and written, and can read and understand English.
Clean MVR and able to operate service truck.
A valid CDL Class A license is required- (with air brake endorsement)
Basic computer skills to enter data into maintenance software system is required.
Results orientated with the ability to work with minimal supervision in non-climate-controlled environment required.
Ability to travel as needed for various training required.
Must have own tools (hand and pneumatic) sufficient to do any job that is required.
Forklift certified operator’s license preferred

Responsibilities

Repair and diagnose major components or service/remove/replace major components of trucks and trailing equipment as directed by the shop manager.
Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) Services and service tires as needed.
Perform electrical, mechanical, and general reconditioning tasks and road tests as necessary.
Maintain work area appearance and safety; document work completed and inspections.
Ensure DOT inspections and safety standards are followed.
Provide customer service to drivers requiring maintenance work and manage parts for repairs.
