Job summary

Unlimited-Carrier in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Diesel Truck Technician II to perform intermediate repairs, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks and fleet equipment. You will work independently on most repairs and assist junior technicians with training.

The role requires solid technical competency, the ability to read schematics, operate diagnostic tools, and lift 50+ lbs. A valid driver’s license is required and the position includes on-site work with

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2–4 years of diesel or automotive technician experience.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform intermediate diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and emission-related issues.
Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, electrical and charging, cooling, brakes and air systems, suspension and steering.
Use diagnostic tools and OEM software to identify root-cause issues.
Perform component replacements, adjustments and calibrations as required.
Document all work orders, labor hours, parts used and findings.
Maintain safe, organized shop environment and communicate status to supervisors.
