Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring diesel technicians in Blair, NE to inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks, trailers and yard tractors to keep our fleet compliant with federal standards.

Requires at least one year of experience working on Class A trucks, plus experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems; welding and fabrication skills are a plus. Company-provided tools, comprehensive benefits, and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Prior welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Tire repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components (doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems).
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment and complete repair orders.
• Maximize safety and reliability across fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, lift-gates and company equipment.
• Abide by company policies and safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
