Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center in Mount Vernon, WA, seeks a Full-time Diesel Technician to support engineering staff in heavy-duty vehicle testing at the Vehicle Operations Lab. You will prepare vehicles for tests, install instrumentation, and maintain engines and test rigs.

Experience with heavy-duty systems, troubleshooting, and a strong mechanical aptitude is essential; CDL is a plus and training helps you acquire one. Excellent communication and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant work experience in heavy-duty vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare heavy duty vehicles for testing, including replacing components and installing measurement instrumentation.
• Work closely with engineering staff to ensure engines and vehicles are performing as requested during testing.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair test engines and vehicles; keep thorough documentation and organized work areas.
• Keep abreast of new technologies.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to shifting time and project demands.
