Job summary

PACCAR Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician for the 2nd shift (Wed–Sun, 2:30pm–1:00am) to support engineering staff at the PACCAR Technical Center Vehicle Operations Lab. The role involves preparing heavy-duty vehicles for testing, installing instrumentation, and ensuring tests align with specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Associate in Technical Arts degree in Diesel Power Technology or equivalent.
• 3 years relevant work experience to understand heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare heavy duty vehicles for testing, including component replacement and instrumentation installation.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure engines/vehicles perform as requested during testing.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair test engines and vehicles.
• Maintain documentation, workplace cleanliness, and organization.
• Stay updated on new technologies and work safely with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to shifting time and project demands, showing initiative.
