Vital Tech Solutions in Camas, WA is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Diesel Technician to support maintenance operations with advanced troubleshooting and repair of diesel-powered trucks and equipment.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical and emissions systems knowledge, can read wiring diagrams, and 5+ years of hands-on diesel experience; CDL-A is required. You will diagnose, repair, document work, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience.
CDL-A is required.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
Experience with diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, PACCAR.
Experience repairing aftertreatment systems including DPF, DEF, and SCR.

Responsibilities

Use OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, and resources to identify root causes and perform accurate repairs.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment concerns.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steering, suspension, brake, and drivetrain issues.
Maintain compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and maintenance standards.
Perform advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, electronic controls, and emissions systems.
Document diagnostics, repairs, labor, and parts usage.
Mentor junior technicians as needed.
Service and repair aftertreatment systems including DPF, DEF, and SCR.
