Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center is seeking a Climatic Chassis Dynamometer Support Technician to assist engineering staff during tests of PACCAR commercial vehicles. You will prepare and run heavy-duty trucks on a CCD, troubleshoot issues, and maintain data acquisition systems.

The role requires 3+ years of mechanical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. This is a full-time on-site position in Mount Vernon, WA.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Diesel Power Technology.
• 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot powertrain and vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install vehicles for climatic chassis dynamometer tests.
• Drive class 8 trucks on the dynamometer and monitor test data.
• Troubleshoot test vehicle issues affecting operation.
• Maintain documentation and communicate status clearly.
• Run tests and manage test cell conditions with CCD software.
• Install and program data acquisition equipment.
• Collect and post-process test data.
