Job summary

Waste Pro USA in Doraville, GA seeks an experienced truck technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks. You will work with diesel and alternative fuels, follow DVIRs, complete repairs using service manuals, and mentor assistants while upholding safety and ethics. Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.
• Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate time/materials.
• Knowledge to provide assistance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs/maintains equipment to maximize safe operations.
• Reviews DVIRs and repair orders; completes repairs.
• Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Completes all required paperwork promptly and concisely.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures; maintains clean work area per OSHA.
• Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
• Conducts regular safety checks on vehicles/equipment.
• Maintains high standards of ethics and dependability.
