Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision. This role includes on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status and exposure to engines, fuel and electrical systems, brakes, transmissions, and general maintenance.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years hands-on experience or a vocational diploma, CDL preferred, and must hold A/C, Brake, and DOT Inspector certifications.

Competenze

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Mansioni

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, seeks assistance when necessary.
