Job summary

Ryder employs a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in West Allis, WI, offering a second shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekends off. The role emphasizes heavy‑duty vehicle diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and customer interaction in a safety‑minded shop.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Vocational or Technical Certification post secondary preferred.
Basic tools required.
Experience with automotive gas or diesel repair and routine maintenance.
CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs as required.
Replaces defective components as instructed.
Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
Complies with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
Performs other support duties as required.
