You will perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, with a schedule Monday–Friday and weekends off. The position requires basic tools, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CDL Class A may be required or obtainable within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical repair experience on automotive/diesel engines.
• CDL Class A preferred or able to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma and vocational/technical cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and company policies.
• Performs other support duties to assist operations.
