Job summary

Republic Services in Wheeling, WV seeks a Maintenance Technician A to repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, engines, HVAC, and suspension systems. You will work under supervision and contribute to keeping a single fleet on the road.

Expect to diagnose multi-system issues, perform on-site and road maintenance, and pursue ASE certifications. A $3,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Diagnose and repair diesel and non-diesel systems including brakes, engines, HVAC, and electrical.
• Perform on-site and road maintenance, using diagnostic tools and line welding/fabrication as needed.
