Job summary

W.W. Williams in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, repair and diagnose diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks, working closely with a team to complete tasks safely and to the customer’s satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel repair experience in a heavy truck/fleet shop, strong knowledge of A/C, brake, emission and air systems, and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel repair experience in a heavy truck/fleet shop environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (A/C, brake, emission, air).
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork on work orders and for state and emission inspections.
• Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.
• Inspect vital parts to ensure proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.
