Job summary

W.W. Williams in Greer, SC is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose maintenance and emergency service needs. You will work closely with fellow technicians to ensure work is performed safely and to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (A/C, brake, emission, air) and diagnostics for diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
• Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
• Inspecting vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.
