Job summary

Waste Pro seeks a skilled Heavy/Light Duty Truck Technician in Athens, GA to diagnose and repair diesel, gasoline and CNG systems across both heavy and light trucks. Welding and fabrication may be involved.

You will work with leading brands like Mack, Freightliner, Peterbilt, McNeilus and Heil in a fast-paced, safety-conscious shop. The job offers ASE certification support, monthly tool allowance up to $80, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance, plus a 401k

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and ability to interpret service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and materials required for repairs.
• Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy and light trucks.
• Communicate with managers and drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Utilize vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
