Job summary

Waste Pro in North Georgia is seeking a Class A Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including diesel and alternative fuel fleets (CNG, LPG, Hybrid). Eligible for a $5,000 retention bonus paid over the first year, plus a monthly tool allowance and tuition/advancement support.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate DVIR repair orders, and teamwork with drivers and managers to minimize future issues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
• Proficient in using Diagnostic tools and interpreting Service Manuals
• Ability to estimate time and material required for repairs
• CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs on equipment to maximize safe operations
• Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean, safe work area per standards
• Uses vehicle electrical systems to interpret failures and initiate repairs
• Performs safety checks on vehicles and equipment
• Repairs using Factory Service Manuals
• Mentors Assistants and Shop Helpers
• Maintains high standard of ethics and dependability
