Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics, troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components, while mentoring others and following strict safety standards.

The role requires a CDL, DOT compliance, and willingness to travel within the district. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical vehicle repair certification preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components; ASE 608/609 preferred.
• Experience with all trade tools including welding equipment and diagnostics.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the district as needed and work in DOT-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trucks and trailers to ensure safety and reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and timely execution.
• Repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and replace assemblies as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe; log and research repairs using Penske tools.
• Learn new skills via Penske technician training; mentor others as needed.
• Adapt to various projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
