Job summary

Pearson Peterbilt Group seeks a skilled diesel mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy trucks at our Alabama and Georgia locations. You will perform inspections, replace parts, and conduct preventative maintenance while ensuring high safety and quality standards.

The role requires three years of diesel truck service experience, plus proficiency with computer diagnostics, hand tools, and welding. It is a full-time on-site position with potential overtime and upsales bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools safely and read instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and vendors.
• Physically able to stand 6–8 hours per shift and lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose trucks and perform visual inspections.
• Remove parts and attachments as needed.
• Complete warranty repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Repair lights, wiring, welding, cutting and other repairs.
• Report to Service Manager; overtime eligibility and monthly upsales bonus potential.
