Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers. With a nationwide footprint, you will support customers and help keep travelers on the road.

The role requires handling repairs, understanding standard service programs, and following safety guidelines in a high‑volume shop environment. Good communication and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous repair or parts shop experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide.
• Diagnose wear conditions and, with the TSA or Manager, make recommendations to customers.
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
