Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers. You will deliver accurate service in a professional, customer-focused manner across our nationwide truck service network.

Responsibilities include diagnosing wear conditions, making recommendations with TSA or Manager, and completing repairs within capabilities while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide.
• Diagnose wear conditions and together with TSA or Manager, makes recommendations to customers.
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and reports potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
