Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and fix deficiencies to support safety and customer service.

The position offers a hourly hiring range of $30–$35, plus an annual $2,000 tool allowance and a career pathways program with regular merit increases. A Technician Apprentice path is also described for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety-compliant maintenance tasks; follows driver pre/post trip inspections.
• Maintains diesel equipment by inspections and preventative maintenance; troubleshoots issues.
• Builds/rebuilds components; routes tests and diagnostic checks; maintains proper records.
