Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections, preventive maintenance, correct deficiencies, and keep records to ensure safety and customer service.

The position offers a Career Pathways Program with advancement and merit increases; hourly rate from $25 to $50 per hour based on experience and includes a $2,000 annual tool allowance. A pre-employment drug screen is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Class A/B/C Driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks based on inspections and in a timely manner.
• Maintain diesel equipment operation and complete preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair to ensure safety and reliability.
• Complete required records and reports of work performed.
• Build, test, and replace hydraulic components and related systems.
