Casella Waste is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and correct vehicle deficiencies. The role includes a $30-$35 hourly range, a career-path program, and a $2,000 annual tool allowance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and ability to work legally in the United States.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and teamwork.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties per safety policies and regulations.
• Maintains diesel equipment by inspections and preventive maintenance and makes corrections as directed.
• Diagnoses problems, tests vehicles, and drives to diagnose malfunctions when necessary.
• Maintains records for all work and reports issues timely.
• Performs lockout/tagout procedures and participates in training and development.
