Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections, and complete preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.

The role offers a Career Pathways program with advancement opportunities and merit increases. The position pays an hourly rate between $25 and $45, with a $2,000 annual tool allowance and career level bonuses to be determined at hire time.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license.
• Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel trucks or stationary equipment beneficial.
• Ability to work in challenging weather and physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform diesel equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per schedules and directives.
• Troubleshoot issues, test run vehicles, and ensure safety and reliability of equipment.
• Maintain records of work performed and reports on issues.
• Operate in shop and field conditions, including adverse weather.
• Participate in training and safety programs as required.
