Penske is hiring a Technician in Auburn, MA to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll use Penske tools, diagnose issues, and ensure vehicles are safe and road-ready. Strong teamwork and customer service are valued as you grow with industry-certified training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years auto or diesel repair experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and use basic tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team player and able to work outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must follow Penske safety, DOT and OSHA policies
• Willing to travel for training if needed
• DOT safety sensitive position
• Pass background check and drug screen
• Attendance is essential

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicles in a safe condition for customers
• Uses Penske tools and tech to log, research and complete repairs
• Performs preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication
• Assists with diagnostics and some electrical/cooling system work
• Learns new skills through training and coaching
• Handles additional projects as assigned by supervisor
