Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Auburn, MA is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll help customers keep their vehicles on the road with safety and reliability as top priorities.

Qualifications

High-school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Problem-solving ability and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires, completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
