Job summary

Peterbilt of Atlanta is seeking a diesel truck technician to diagnose and repair trucks across our Georgia/Alabama service locations. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs, using diagnostic tools and power equipment.

The role requires safe handling of tools and effective communication with customers and vendors. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years in diesel service, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work physically demanding shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience.
• Must be able to operate power and hand tools safely.
• Strong reading/writing and verbal communication with customers and vendors.
• Physically demanding; ability to stand 6-8 hours; lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and perform visual inspections.
• Remove parts and attachments as needed.
• Conduct warranty repairs and preventative maintenance services.
• Repair lights and wiring; welding, cutting, and other repairs.
• Follow safety guidelines and document work performed.
