Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled diesel technician to join our service team. With multiple locations nationwide, you will diagnose and repair trucks, engines, and components, install parts, and drive vehicles to verify repairs.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install various components and transmissions.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle malfunctions.
• Ensure safety devices and guards are properly functioning.
• Test drive to verify conformance to specifications.
• Attend training on factory bulletins and updates.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to improve satisfaction.
