Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Monroe, OH to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. The role features a second shift (12:00 pm – 8:30 pm), a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical repair on heavy-duty equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Candidate should have basic tools and the aptitude for diagnostic and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identify root causes and replace defective components as needed.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue and document work performed.
