Job summary

NFI is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer systems on our dedicated fleet. You’ll use JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, and multimeters to keep our equipment moving.

This role includes preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and hands-on repair in our shop. We value teamwork, strong communication, and a safety-first approach; a valid driver's license and 2+ years’ maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Technical or advanced degree or 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs and maintenance using diagnostic tools.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer issues using standard testing procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of tractors and trailers.
• Perform DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
• Be physically capable of lifting 75 lbs or more and working in a busy shop environment.
