Job summary

NFI Industries in Maryland is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to maintain our fleet and keep operations running smoothly. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold safety standards across our equipment.

Utilize diagnostic tools such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, and multimeters, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a reliable, well‑maintained fleet with a strong on-site team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Class B license preferred.
• Technical degree or 2+ years maintenance experience.
• Familiar with diagnostic tools such as JPRO and OEM software.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical tractor/trailer issues using diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet of tractors and trailers.
• Conduct DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and adapt to flexible movement as needed.

Pay Range: $24.00–$25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license
• Technical or advanced degree or 2 years or more of equivalent maintenance experience
• Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs and maintenance with diagnostic tools and equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, multimeters, and Windows
• Successfully demonstrated problem‑solving skills
• Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills
• On‑site evaluation with recommended training

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer‑related issues using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, multimeters, and Windows
• Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of tractors & trailers
• Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
• Physically capable of performing all job duties, which include being able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and have flexible movement to reach equipment
