Job summary

NFI Industries in Washington state seeks an experienced diesel technician to maintain a dedicated fleet. You'll diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues using JPRO and other diagnostic tools, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.

A valid driver’s license, technical education or experience, and strong problem-solving are required. We offer a competitive hourly wage plus a sign-on bonus, robust health benefits, a 401(k) with company match,

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Technical or advanced degree or 2+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs using diagnostic tools such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows.
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer issues using standard testing procedures and diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of tractors & trailers.
  • Perform DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
  • Physically capable of lifting and/or pulling 75 lbs or more, with flexible movement to reach equipment.

NFI technician expectations and responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer-related issues using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows
  • Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of tractors & trailers
  • Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
  • Physically capable of performing all job duties, which include being able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and have flexible movement to reach equipment.
