Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Diesel Technician for our Doraville, GA location. You will diagnose and repair heavy- and light-duty trucks, focusing on engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

This role offers a $5,000 retention bonus paid in four installments during the first year. CDL Class B preferred and ASE certifications encouraged, with strong emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair drive train, engine, transmission, and related systems on heavy and light trucks.
• Proficient in using vehicle diagnostics to identify failure modes and guide repairs.
• Follows OSHA safety requirements and maintains clean work area.
• Ability to mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Experience with waste/recycling industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles.
• Maintain and repair fleet with safety and quality in mind.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Utilize vehicle electronics to interpret faults and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Work with supervisor to ensure adherence to OSHA standards.
