Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification, preferred.
• Basic tools are required.
• Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.
• Valid CDL CLASS A, preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance and diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems.
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation; follows safety and DOT guidelines.
