Rush Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a skilled diesel technician in Yuma, AZ. The role focuses on servicing commercial trucks and engines, including overhauls and component repairs. You will work on heavy-duty systems, install parts, and verify repairs through road testing.

We welcome new graduates or seasoned technicians with Class 7/8 experience. A valid driver’s license, ongoing training, and strong customer relations are emphasized for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility is required.
• Must possess a current and valid driver's license with insurability per company policy.
• ASE certifications (Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins) are preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install engines and parts (injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, etc.).
• Read job orders and determine malfunction to plan procedures.
• Check safety devices and make adjustments as needed.
• Lubricate and test drives to verify conformance.
• Attend training and keep up with factory bulletins.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to boost satisfaction.
