Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled Rush Technician to provide hands-on service for trucks and engines at our Commerce City location. The role emphasizes diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling diesel systems in a fast-paced dealership setting.

Candidates should have at least 5 years’ Class 7 & 8 technician experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to obtain OEM/ASE certifications. Competitive pay, shift premiums, and ongoing OEM training are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current valid driver license with insurable driving record.
• Able to obtain Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and/or ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, bearings, oil pans, clutches and other parts.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures; inspect safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and test drive to verify conformance to specs.
• Attend training classes and stay updated on factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to boost satisfaction.
