Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an experienced Class 7/8 technician to provide technical service for trucks and equipment at Rush Truck Centers. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling gas and diesel engines, installing major components, and ensuring safety and quality on every job.

You will read job orders, plan procedures, and collaborate with customers to maintain high satisfaction. A valid CDL and OEM certifications are strongly preferred, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with insurability.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install major components and parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, and transmissions and verify repairs.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten components as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive vehicles to verify conformance to specs.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
