Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to service trucks and engines, including maintenance and engine overhaul. You will read job orders, inspect vehicles, ensure safety, and perform repairs with attention to quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a valid driver license with insurability guidelines.
• CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Examine guards, bolts, and safety devices on trucks and adjust as needed.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay current with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
