Gordon Truck Centers in Coburg, OR is hiring Diesel Technicians to join a team devoted to safety and delivering reliable, first-class service to Pacific Northwest customers. As part of a full-service Freightliner/Western Star dealer family, you will diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy-duty engines and subsystems, using up-to-date tools in a well-equipped shop environment.

We value training, teamwork, and dependability; candidates should be able to lift up to 75 pounds and bring a complete set

Qualifications

Experience diagnosing heavy-duty truck systems.
Ability to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
Must lift up to 75 pounds and bring own tools.

Responsibilities

Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
Develop technical skills through training opportunities
Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.
