Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Bryan, Texas is hiring a Permanent Full Time Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. The role offers hourly pay of $27.50 with a calendar of benefits including health, 401(k) matching, and tuition assistance.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, first shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with potential bonuses and paid training. Candidates must have a high school diploma and may need a CDL depending on posting requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Adheres to safety and compliance guidelines.
