Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Midland, Texas to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for certification bonuses.

You will diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and interact with drivers to resolve concerns while adhering to safety and DOT guidelines. This on-site position includes a strong training path and advancement potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification/Post Secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in required experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Inspects and repairs standard components.
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT compliance; supports operations as needed.
